Anna (Anne) Elizabeth (née Medio) on April 18, 2024, age 94, of Collingswood. She spent her early years in Ozone Park, Queens, NY with her parents, Domingo and Maria, brothers Mario, Joseph, John, and sister Rose along with a larger extended family. Her parents moved to Camden in the 1940s as her father took a job at the White Owl Cigar Factory. Anne graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1947, and in 1950 married classmate, Thomas P. McCarron. Several years later, they moved to Collingswood and eventually purchased a home on Stokes Avenue. Anne was a dedicated homemaker and stayat- home mother who raised six daughters. This home of 30+ years also became a welcoming “second home” for many of her grandchildren. Anne had many skills including sewing, cooking and a love of music and musical theater. When her husband retired, she trained and worked as a nanny and pursued an associate degree hoping to work with senior citizens. Thomas passed away in June 1997. Anne is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Rosanne McCarron Taylor, Catherine McCarron Dunn, Patricia McCarron Faupel Chamberlin (William Chamberlin), Irene McCarron Ryan, Mary McCarron Hancock and Elizabeth McCarron Hahn (James Hahn). She is also survived by grandchildren Andrew Faupel (Tara Faupel), Benjamin Faupel (Colleen Faupel), Jeannette Dunn Seichepine (Fran Seichepine), Joseph Dunn (Yeo Jun Dunn), Rebecca Taylor (David Ramenofsky), Joshua Ryan, Michael Hancock (Ashleigh Hancock) Brian Hancock, Christine Hancock, Sarah Ryan Johnson Hoover (Michael Hoover), Matthew Taylor and James Hahn and seventeen great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at BLAKEDOYLE FUNERAL HOME today, Friday, April 26 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, followed by a prayer service at 9:45 AM. A funeral mass will begin at 11 AM at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Collingswood, followed by an interment at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association via their website, www.alz.org.
