When we left off last week, Tim and his buddy Jimmy had crossed the Rt. 130 railroad bridge and continued down the industrial siding on the south side of the curve.
Model trains were once a popular hobby among young boys, and like many boys in the 1960s, Tim was fascinated by trains and had his own HO model train layout.

Show Up or You’re Fired
Last week, Jim Repenning was introduced into the Tanner Village story.
“Jim was the son that they [Albert and Jean Sandecki] never had!” stated Jim’s wife, Kristin. As a child, Jim purchased his art supplies at the Sanski Studio and began taking art lessons there. In his teens, he began working at the studio framing pictures.
Being a part of a family of artists with its own art studio does have its perks. First of all, you are never in want of artwork for your home.
“If we had a bare spot on the wall, we appropriated it for a painting,” explained Jean Sandecki, of their home above the Tanner Village shops.

This week we conclude our visit to St. Rose of Lima school with former classmates Susan (Sherry) Miller, John Finley and Joe Bozza.
“I was one of seven siblings,” John said, explaining how many kids in his family attended the school.
“Me too,” chimed in Susan. “We all got baptized here, we were married here, [in the church].”
Hangin’ Out Down the Street
St. Rose of Lima 1972 classmates Susan (Sherry) Miller, Joe Bozza and John Finley took a nostalgic tour of their alma mater recently, giddily walking the halls as they did years ago as youngsters at the Catholic grade school on Kings Highway in Haddon Heights.
