Colls Plans Water Plant Upgrades

At Monday’s meeting, the Collingswood Commissioners voted to authorize a $399,700 contract with borough engineering firm Remington & Vernick for construction phase services of the Comly Ave. water treatment plant upgrades. Borough administrator Cassandra Duffey said in an email that this specific phase is needed to receive New Jersey Infrastructure Bank funding.

$44.5 Million Proposed for Collingswood Schools Referendum

If approved in a September vote, a $44.5 million referendum would transform the Collingswood School District in the next three years. Most notably, James A. Garfield Elementary and Thomas Sharp Elementary would be decommissioned as school buildings, with Garfield being sold and Sharp converted into a recreation center.
