The April 5 issue of The Retrospect carried an article about Collingswood seeking to take full control of a parking lot from the owners of a successful business, Salon G.
Haddon Township Police Department received information about Theresa Paleczny Glab’s relatives and released this statement from chief Tim Hak, “The Haddon Township Police Departmet would like to extend our gratitude to those that assisted in identifying the relatives of Theresa Paleczny Glab. Working together to ensure support for all is what makes our community so great!”
Juvenile Crime Spree
Residents fed up with a perceived lack of communication from the borough over a recent rise in home break-ins and car thefts put out a call this week to organize under the “Haddonfield Safety Commission” banner, according to a post on the Facebook group Haddonfield United.
Haddonfield’s April 11 board of education meeting began with a presentation by psychologist and Temple University professor Philip Kendall on a research partnership with the district. Kendall spoke on behalf of the project’s leader, Dr. Johanna Jarcho, who attended the meeting by Zoom due to illness.
Crowds gathered at the Collingswood Community center on Tuesday night to ask the board of education questions regarding the recently proposed $44.5 million bond referendum. The plan would include the purchase of the former Good Shepherd school and the decommissioning of both James A.
Over 40 people were packed into the Haddon Heights Seventh Avenue Elementary School’s all purpose room Tuesday evening for the monthly school board meeting. Most came wearing red shirts reading ‘Heights Pride’ in yellow letters.
In a first pass through revising its 31-year-old parking code, Barrington’s mayor and council at last week’s caucus meeting said they were creating a subcommittee to revisit rules that currently only apply to the borough hall parking lot, not the many other public parking areas within the 1.5mile square borough.

After finishing an over 90-minute-long executive session on Tuesday evening, the Haddonfield commissioners voted unanimously to approve the redevelopment agreement and purchasing agreement between R&S Boxwood Hospitality LLC and the borough for Boxwood Hall.
